Sunnyhill is looking for Direct Support Professionals to join our team.

About:

Sunnyhill Inc. is a non-profit agency that offers supported living for children and adults with developmental disabilities who wish to live in the community and need some assistance to do so.

Support can be as comprehensive as 24-hour supervision or as simple as weekly assistance with budgeting and bill paying. Sunnyhill staff help people learn the living skills to live in and be a part of their community.

Direct Support Professional

Direct care supports and services meet the person-to-person needs of each individual. Direct support staff assist with day to day tasks such as dressing, toileting, bathing, going to medical appointments, household cleaning, preparing meals, grocery shopping and other activities that assist people with making friends and being a part of their community.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Automobile
  • Proof of Auto Insurance
  • Satisfactory background check for child care and nursing home care

Training

Sunnyhill provides the training you will need including:
  • CPR and First Aid
  • Medication Aide Level 1
  • Positive Behavioral Support
  • Human Rights
  • Confidentiality
  • Role of Direct Support
  • Prevention of Abuse and Neglect
  • Orientation to Field of Developmental Disabilities

Sunnyhill Employment Advantages

  • All Direct Support Professionals are hired as part time
  • Mileage reimbursement, 44 _ cents per mile

For 30 years, Sunnyhill has been providing residential and recreational services for adults and children who have developmental disabilities.

Today, Sunnyhill supports over 200 individuals in residential programs and more than 500 adults and children in recreational programs. Sunnyhill employs over 200 support staff.

Work-site locations are in St. Louis County, Jefferson County, St. Charles and St. Peters.
