Sunnyhill Education Programs

Everyday is a new adventure at Sunnyhill University. Someone is learning something new, creating a work of art, sharing laughter and conversation with a friend.

Sunnyhill University is an educational program designed especially for people with developmental disabilities. The purpose of Sunnyhill University is to give clients more opportunities to get out of their homes, make friends, nurture existing relationships and expand their horizons.

Educational classes are now underway in the day program. Classes include art instruction that has Sunnyhill clients making their own ceramics and batik prints, international culture to teach about life, art and cuisine from all over the world. There are also life skill programming classes that help clients learn valuable and practical skills like counting money, budgeting, healthy living habits, taking public transportation and cooking.
